THE MAD DOG MANDICH FISHING CLASSIC PREPARES FOR ITS 5th
SUCCESSFUL TOURNAMENT YEAR STARTING IN
MIAMI

The 5th
Annual Publix Mad Dog Mandich Fishing Classic, in honor of the
great Jim “Mad Dog” Mandich, will be held May 11th & 12th,
2012 at the Miami Beach Marina. Last year over $32,000
in prize money was awarded and over $10,000
was donated to Shake-A-Leg Miami and the Coastal Conservation
Association.
The
one-day Funfish tournament targets dolphin, kingfish, tuna, wahoo
with the top boat taking home a $10,000 guaranteed prize. There will also be $500 for each of the
heaviest Funfish in each category. The tournament also includes
trophy divisions for the top lady, top angler and top junior
angler with lots of great prizes as well. The Mad Dog Mandich
Fishing Classic kicks off Friday evening, May 11th at
6pm with a Cocktail Party and Captain’s meeting at Texas de
Brazil at Miami Beach Marina. On Saturday, the teams head out for
a day of fishing, followed by a dock party and weigh-in
celebration from 3:00 – 6:00 pm dockside at the Miami Beach
Marina. The dock party is free and open to the public, so bring
out the entire family for a great event!
The tournament will culminate at 6:00 pm with the Awards
Ceremony, a great Silent Auction and Dinner inside Texas de
Brazil. The entry fee includes all your food, drinks, angler bag
and shirt. Additional dinner tickets are available for a small
